Alison Webb, Ph.D.
Dr. Webb is an ecologist, pigment forager, and fiber arts enthusiast who has worked with natural colors for the past two decades. She completed her Ph.D. in Ecology at Utah State University, where she studied ecological physiology and humans' impacts on their environment. During graduate school, she served as a fellow with the National Science Foundation to bring academia-level research to a broader audience. This experience inspired her to start her own business, Pacific Northwest Biology, and offer science and art-integrated classes to her community.
She utilizes art and foraging to teach ecological concepts and promote environmental consciousness through workshops and online tutorials. Foraging with her family and creating with natural colors are her favorite activities.
